Dimitrija Doksevski was born in Skopje, Macedonia, on July 28, 1983.
He started showing interest for acting at an early age, and in high school he
was a member of an alternative theatre group, which landed him the main role in a teenage TV series.
After the show ended, he continued with voice-synchronizing cartoons until 2001, when he got enrolled in the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Skopje.
During the 4 years of study, he played in many students' movies and plays, such as: "Plan B" and "15 Seconds," and the plays:
"Macedonian Bloody Wedding" (Makedonska krvava svadba), "Immigrants" (Pecalbari) and "Caligula".
Also, he started appearing in TV commercials for some of the biggest mobile telephone companies in the Balkans, as well as insurance companies.
He was the first Macedonian that has appeared on the MTV Adria commercial. In 2004 he played the role of Orest in his first professional theatre play,
called "Nameless" (Bezimeniot). The play was directed by Eleni Bosa (Greece) and produced by the Macedonian National Theatre.
He had his first big role in the movie "Border Post" (Karaula), directed by Rajko Grlic. Soon after that he played in "Upside Down" (Prevrteno), a movie
directed by one of the most important contemporary Macedonian directors, Igor Ivanov - Izi.
He also played in the short movie "9 messages" directed by
Darko Belev. After finishing the academy, he acted in many plays at the Macedonian National Theatre. He starred in "Delirium for Two (Delirium za dvajca),"
directed by Dejan Projkovski. The play was awarded at several international festivals. Last summer he took part in the multimedia project "Solaris", which
was directed by Zlatko Slavenski. His latest project was the popular play "Great Excpectations" (Golemite ochekuvanja) directed by the young director Jovan
Ristovski.
He currently lives in Skopje. He is part of the Plagijat crew, and as such,
he's been involved in organizing several open-air music festivals in his country. Plagij.at is the first and only e-zine in Macedonia that follows, informs and educates for the subculture events in the region and the world.
In his spare time he is active in rollerblading and snowboarding. He works as a free artist and is not employed in any of the theatres in Macedonia.
